HOLIDAYS/CLOSINGS

NEW POLICY - We will no longer automatically cancel classes when Southwest Allen County Schools are closed due to bad weather.  We will use SACS closings as a guideline for our decision, but will not always follow their cancellations.  Please check the voice message and/or our website by noon to determine if classes are in session for the evening.  If students are dismissed early from school, or after-school activities are cancelled due to sudden bad weather in the afternoon, please check the voice message at the studio (625-3874) and/or the local television stations (Indiana's NewsCenter) for information about the studio closing early.     

     Tuesday Morning Class Policy:  Classes WILL automatically be cancelled and rescheduled to Thursday morning if Southwest Allen County Schools are closed on Tuesday.  If there is a 2-hour delay for Southwest Allen County Schools on Tuesday, all morning dance classes will be delayed by ONE hour.

We will, however, follow Southwest Allen County Schools' closings for holidays.

Therefore, classes WILL NOT be in session on the following dates:

Thanksgiving - 11/27 through 11/30

Winter Break - 12/20 through 1/4 (January tuition due January 1st)

Spring Break - 3/28 though 4/5 (April tuition due April 1st)

Memorial Day - 5/25

Exceptions are as follows:  Teachers' In-Service days, 1/2 days for conferences, Martin Luther King Day and President's Day.

HOLIDAY PARTIES

We allow dancers to dress up for Halloween (October 27 - 30), and to bring snacks to share on their birthdays, before any holiday that they celebrate, or before school breaks.  Please let us know if your child has allergies!

MAKE-UP LESSONS

If your child is absent from class due to illness or vacation, they will be allowed to take a make-up class within two weeks.  Your child may take a different class in their age category as a make-up lesson if a comparable class is not available.  After January, classes will be working on individual dances for the recital, and a make-up lesson may not be beneficial.

ATTENDANCE

Good attendance is a very important part of your child's dance education.  It is not fair to your child or the others in the class when lessons are missed on a regular basis.  Please inform the office about vacations or lengthy illnesses.  We care about your child and worry if they are not in class.
