Single and Combination Classes for ages 8-12
Our 8-12 year old dancers have several fun options! Dancers in combination classes will learn both styles of dance in the combination they choose as well as basic technique. Dancers taking one style, such as lyrical, will also learn basic technique. This is a great age to try dance for the first time or continue working on skills from a 7-8 year old class. Dancers will learn about dance class structure and expecations, ballet technique, tap technique, jazz technique, flexibility, and or hip hop style. Dancers will also have the opportunity to express themselves with free movement!
CLASSES MEET ONCE PER WEEK AT THE FOLLOWING TIMES:
MONDAYS 6:15-7:00pm Jazz/Hip Hop 9-12 years
MONDAYS 6:45-7:30pm Lyrical/Jazz 9-12 years'
TUESDAYS 7:00-7:45 Jazz/Tap 8-12 years
TUESDAYS 7:00-7:45pm Lyrical 9-12 years
THURSDAYS 5:30-6:00pm Hip Hop 8-10 years
THURSDAYS 7:00-7:45pm Jazz/Tap 8-12 years
THE COST IS $48.00 PER MONTH FOR 30 MINUTE CLASSES AND $59.00 PER MONTH FOR 45 MINUTE CLASSES.
Dancers will have the opportunity to perform all their styles of dance in our annual spring recital and will receive their own special performance costume ranging in price from approximately $65.00-$85.00.
8-12 dress code. Girls-a black leotard with optional black skirt or black dance shorts/leggings, skin-toned tights and the appropriate shoes for their combo; pink ballet shoes, black oxford tap shoes, tan jazz shoes, sneakers for hip hop. Boys-a white t-shirt, black dance pants, and the appropriate shoes for their combo; black ballet shoes, black oxford tap shoes, black jazz shoes, sneakers for hip hop.
Dancers with hair below chin-length should wear it in a ballet bun or braid and have their bangs clipped away from their face..
